What Kumar did
- Wrote the product concept, version 1.0, in October 2026.
- Chose one pod that combines ultrasound, impedance, EMG, muscle oxygen and stiffness, and a short weekly test over all-day wear.
What it is
A reusable pod worn over the thigh, calf or biceps that snaps into an elastic strap or a disposable patch. It is built for a short weekly test, because muscle changes over weeks, not hours.
How it works
The app guides a four-minute protocol: a resting ultrasound scan, impedance and stiffness readings, a three-second maximum contraction, a hold at half effort until fatigue, and a contracted stiffness reading. Four inline electrodes run impedance, and the inner pair doubles as the EMG pair.
Engineering
Five sensing methods share one pod: A-mode ultrasound, impedance myography, two-channel surface EMG, near-infrared muscle oxygen and a voice-coil tapper for stiffness, with heart rate, SpO₂, skin temperature and motion alongside.
